The origin of WAYAN dates back to March 6th, 1995, when the first store opened at Flamingo Plaza in Cancún, Quintana Roo.

At the beginning, it was only a small booth in the middle of the shopping center, with the image of a cozy rustic house where a great variety of very original goods were on sale, among those, there were sarongs, handicrafts, costume jewelry, and hats.

Four months later, the two first boutiques WAYAN opened; one at Flamingo Plaza and the other at Kukulcan Plaza.

From that moment on WAYAN became a solid and important commercialization company focused on very innovative items in order to satisfy a more demanding market that is looking for really authentic and natural products.

Today, we have more than 14 boutiques located in the main shopping centers of Cancún and the Riviera Maya as well as a wholesales department that provides service and distributes our exclusive products to boutiques and hotels all over Mexico, and other markets like USA and Europe.

We are importers and exporters, and we work hand in hand with our strategic allies -producers and manufacturers from as far as Indonesia, India, Nepal and China-, which allows us to offer a wide variety of products at very competitive prices and with a high standard of quality.

We are working to implement our Franchise Plan in order to take our concept and marketing image all over the country and abroad.
